I was pretty much in tears the entirety of the final 20 minutes and so was everyone else.

Darkly mischievous and painfully funny, a monster calls is an extraordinarily moving novel of coming to terms with loss from two of our finest writers for young adults. A monster calls touched the depths of my soul. Visually stunning, well acted, and filled with emotion this film had me fully engaged. For me, the emotion that this book invokes in me, even though i think i am prepared for it, makes this my favourite book ever.
